June 17 Update

A followup to our earlier announcement – early bird is now over and regular ticket pricing now in effect at $60.   We are very excited to announce that our Early Bird Draw Prize will be a 6 hour charter for up to 3 people out of Pedder Bay in their new 20′ Boston Whaler.  This will be good through the 2014 season with no blackout dates.  You have the option of running a salmon or halibut charter and we will draw this at the event.  

Apr. 26 raffle update

Very excited to report our raffle is up and running for another year!  

1st prize, an all-inclusive fishing getaway to Nootka Sound Resort, a 22 bedroom floating lodge based near Gold River, right around the corner from some of the best West Coast fishing you will find – salmon to 50 pounds+, huge ling cod and red snapper, and plenty of halibut as well (please keep in mind for 2013 season at least, there is a size restriction up to approximately 60 lbs, so make sure you bring your camera in case you have to let that big monster go that ended up on your line!)  Little secret though, the big ones don’t taste as good anyway!

This trip of a lifetime is for 2 people, 3 nights, 2 full days and 2 – 1/2 days fully guided on a beautiful 28′ Grady White, all meals included (alcohol excluded), in their deluxe rooms with two queens, and is good until the end of the 2014 season upon availability – a prize valued at $5700!   This is a new feature sponsor that also gives back to salmon enhancement and they too, run their own awesome derby with more than $10000 in prizes and all proceeds going to the Nootka Sound Watershed Society – the same organization we donated $2000 to last year to go towards building a chinook net pen.  If you are up for an adventure, check out their event for the Canada Day long weekend!

2nd prize, coming back again for a 3rd year, Flightcentre at Tuscany Village has generously donated a $1000 travel voucher to be used any where and way you wish – flights….accommodation….car rental….tours.  If they can book it, you can use it!   A big thanks to Matthew Weagle and his crew for their continued support.  Please keep them in mind for your next vacation and tell them the Consultant’s Derby sent you.  They will take care of all your needs.

3rd prize, we have a great prize from Madman Mckays - a 51″ Samsung Full HD1080 plasma television c/w wall mount.  A new sponsor this year and a great way to round off our prizes.

As always in prior years, tickets are available intra-office to all employees and attending sponsors.  You don’t need to attend to be eligible to win.  We will also have lovely girls coming around during the pre-party and they will of course be available at the event as well.  This is our big fundraiser, so please open up your wallets and support our cause.  Tickets are priced at $10 each, 5 for $40, and the super bonus, 20 for $100.

Prior update:

We are pleased to report that our established venue, The Best Western Premier – Prestige Oceanfront Resort is once again our event venue and our more casual sponsors pre-party will return to the penthouse at the adjacent Sooke Harbour Resort & Marina.     This has been a great past location and it once again allows us to keep the party together in one area.  We will also have a special guest MC this year that many of you will recognize from CTV!  A nice relief for our loyal tall leader who actually would like to relax at the event for a change!

Updates will continue to be posted here as the date nears.  Please keep in mind that ticket sales are up and running on the payments tab.  $45 until June 1 (which also makes you eligible for our early bird prize), $60 after June 1.   If you unsure how the format of our event works, please review the ‘about’ tab and it should hopefully shed some light.
